I love Charles Dicken's, "A Christmas Carol". Went to see this recently and although I enjoyed it and its lush graphics, I found the characters were a bit "creepy". But I'm sure I'll get myself a copy when it comes to DVD. I haven't seen it in 3D and I think that was probably a mistake. I will definitely try to get back to the theater with the kids to see if that makes a difference.
My favorite versions:
Love your new banner! And thanks for these reviews and recommendations. My favorite version of A Christmas Carol is the one with Mr. Magoo - it was the first one I ever saw and it remains my silly but beloved standard.
My favorite illustrated book version is the one by Arthur Rackham, the English illustrator, though it has a somewhat creepy feel too.

TOO RIGHT, Carol! Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol is a MUST in the collection! Thanks for reminding me, I've added it to my favorites post. =o) How could I forget? It was such a staple in our family growing up.

I'm inclined to agree with you.
