American Idol & Pop

Is anyone else keeping up with "American Idol" this year? And if so, am I the only one that is horrified that Sanjaya is still in the competition???  Yes, he's a sweetie but singing...he's so out of his league now.

My favorites are Lakisha (what a voice!) and Blake. Blake is just so unique and current. I can't wait to see what he does with the music each week!  LOVED what he did with "Time Of The Season" last night.

And staying with the theme of music, I tried to post a "You Tube" video on here but it doesn't look like they support the typepad platform yet. What a bummer! My daughter and I went to see "Music & Lyrics" recently and enjoyed it very much. If you like 80's pop like "Duran Duran" and "Wham", you'll enjoy the video from the flick. I can't get enough of it because it is so reminiscent of how the music videos were, too funny!

So what does this have to do with Illustration? A whole lot of nothing! But in my defense I did write a blog post showing the parallels between Idol and Freelancing. Hopefully I can redeem myself with that!

Hey, Roz. Thanks for sharing the YouTube video. I loved it! I've got to get out and see that movie. (I was totally into Duran Duran in high school!!!!!)

Oh, and like you, I have no clue why Sanjaya is still on AI. I think it will be either LaKeisha, Melinda or Blake who takes it all.

I admit it, I'm watching this season! (got me some rabbit ears) But that bald guy (Phil?) bugs me even more than Sanjaya! Sanjaya is on for the laughs--that little girl was cracking me up with all her carrying on over him!
