This little guy is gazing at the stars after a fun filled day of playing football.
Actually this is a portion of a portfolio reject. He's actually looking at a moon wearing a nightcap but the moon is awwwwful.
It's a shame when you finish a piece and it doesn't come out the way you had hoped, isn't it?
He looks so cute, Roz! I wonder what's so awful about the moon?!
I like it, it looks great!! The football looks so perfect :-D
It is tough though when one has a vision of the finished piece in one's head and it doesn't want to become what we want it to. WE are awwwwful for being our own toughest critics sometimes...
**sparkles* for your work!!

The boy is cute though. Anyway to salvage the moon?

it is full moon i suppose, and you can say the moon is awful if you have made her darker but he is not.... he reminds me of my nephew that i miss so much!!!

Thanks you guys. =0)
Hey Janee-kins! No he's not salvageable in my mind. But I can remove him and replace him with another one.

Gosh, I think this is just adorable! Is the moon really that bad? :-)

Well, regardless of the rest of the illustration, the little guy is doing a great job of making us all smile. He looks satisfied and content after a game well played. Love your work!

Hey Roz,
I love the stiches in the grass and the edge of the hill. It looks so warm and fuzzy I want to join him on the hill. :)

I think he's cute...we tend to be our own worst critics don't we??
Cheers,

So sweet. I think it's a great illustration. I do know the feeling when you think you are making something great, but it turns out different. Not much fun.

Your work is always so beautiful...dreamy!

It reminds me of how I felt on the evening of the 4th... except it was ultimate frizbee... and I wasn't smiling... in fact I wasn't even sitting up. Man I need to excersize more.
I love the warmth that your illustrations emit, and the softness of the material. It works together so well. Just wonderful.

This is lovely, Roz! All your little details (the stars, the grass textures, etc) really make this special.
