Finished! My critique groups challenge word for the summer is "sea" and this is my contribution. This was a lot of fun to work on,however, I'm frustrated because I can't get the true color of the felt to photograph. The sea is actually a gorgeous, rich turqoise. I tried to manipulate it in photoshop but still can't get as close to the original as I would like.
Here are links to the other members and their fantastic take on the theme word.
(This area will updated throughout the summer so please come back!)

Too cute! I love all the details.

Soooo cute with the parrot on the pirate's hat and his little map and the little treasure chest far away in the distance. I can tell that you had fun making this one! Great job!

Thats lovely to see the drawing and then your finished peice. Its a wonderful scene. I always have trouble adjusting colour in photo shop. I just can't seem to get it how I want it. I think your sea looks a lovely colour, I would not know it was meant to be another colour.
